Huawei Band 7 Watch - The Accessory That Helps Me To Live A More Mindful & Intentional Life

A watch is an essential piece of jewellery in every person's wardrobe. In most cases a watch boosts our appearance by making us appear professional and put together. In the spirit of wellness, being intentional and mindful, I got the Huawei band 7 smartwatch. I know smart watches have existed for a while now, but rather late than never right? :)


I must say. I am obsessed!! It's the one accessory I never knew I needed. I'm excited to capture all my health related data, including how well I sleep, exercise & my water intake. It's been a great reminder for me to be mindful about the amount of time I spend sitting at my desk without moving my body as well as monitoring my stress levels.



Key things I love about the watch

  1. I don't use a Huawei phone but connecting my watch to my phone was easy & hassle free.

  2. I love the colour (Nebula Pink) & the sleek design.

  3. The screen display is impeccable and fits all the words & icons perfectly.

  4. The watch is fast charging & comes with a magnetic charger.

  5. The battery life is said to last more than a week.

  6. The fit (my wrists are really small) the straps are adjustable so its really comfortable & doesn't slip.

  7. It is water resistant, this is just an additional benefit for me.

  8. The "find my phone" feature.


The Huawei Band 7 is amazing because of the extensive feature set it offers and it is price. The watch weighs only 16g and (28g with the strap), which is fairly light. Furthermore, it records blood oxygen levels, heart rate, shows and shows notifications.



Cool features I'm excited to try

1. Tracking my step count

I've always used my phone for this but my watch is about to give me a more accurate step count because I don't carry my phone everywhere.


2. Tracking my sleep

My sleeping patterns are horrible, this is something I've been wanting to work on because I realize the importance of good sleep and the impact it has on our overall health.


3. Heart rate monitoring

This year I want to be more mindful about my health and I am excited to have clear figures.


4. Workout modes

The watch supports 96 workout modes which is perfect, I'm not a gym fanatic I often do yoga at home so I am hoping to see if my new friend will be able support me.



In terms of disadvantages, the only thing I need to figure out is how to dim or decrease the brightness of the watch while I am sleeping because it is quite bright which tends to wake me up when I turn or move my wrist at a particular angle. However, this isn't a deal breaker for me. I've had this watch for less than a week so I am yet to find out if there are any other things I don't particularly enjoy.
